trade instruments executed in various currencies, including USD. Such transactions can be completed by providing much-needed FX liquidity. The FX solutions are regulated by the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) and the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) in UK.

Trade finance tenure must cover 6 months (180 Days) to a maximum of 1 year with the option to refinance after maturity of the first lend.
The interest rate is the SOFR (Secured Overnight Financing Rate) market rate as at the time of the transaction plus 2%-3%, with a one-off processing fee of between 2%-3%.

This financing solution is suitable for clients with other bank financial obligations that have maximised credit limits and are seeking alternative financing.

DUE DILIGENCE AND ONBOARDING

After consultation, thorough due diligence is carried out on your company as part of our Know-Your-Business (KYB) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML). You will be guided on which documents are required for this process.

TRANSACTION PROCESSING

For FX transactions, you will be onboarded to a digital platform and assigned a unique User ID, which you will use for every transaction following a clearly defined process. For trade finance, our Trade Finance Team will be on hand to support.

TURN-AROUND-TIME – For FX liquidity, it takes 24 hours to effect or complete a transaction. It is therefore prudent to ensure that clients complete the process promptly to avoid unnecessary delays. For trade finance, upon successful completion of the KYC/AML process and acceptance of the deal structure, funds are disbursed into the client's designated bank account in 14-21 days less fees.

  • ID of each Director and Shareholder (Front & back copy of National ID OR biometric page of passport)
